Welcome to Suntwisters Cheer & Training
Our competitive cheerleading program brings together athletes of all ages and skill levels to foster teamwork, growth, and performance. Whether performing locally or competing regionally and nationally, our athletes shine through hard work, dedication, and a love for cheer. We are committed to preparing them for success in both high school and collegiate cheerleading.
SunTwisters Cheer is proudly recognized under USA Cheer, the governing body for all things cheerleading in the United States. All of our coaches hold up-to-date USA Cheer credentials and certifications, ensuring a safe, knowledgeable, and supportive environment for your athlete’s development.
SUNTWISTERS STAFF
Coach Candace is the founder and owner of SunTwisters Cheer. She was born and raised in Orlando, FL and has been in the sport of cheerleading for over 35 years. Candace was a Winter Park High School Cheerleader, Valdosta State Cheerleader, and Winter Park High School Cheer Coach alongside her sister Angela. She has been a UCA Staff Instructor, All Star Competition Choreographer, and Competition Judge. She also was the Head Coach and Director of the Winter Park Stars All Star gym from 2009-2020. Candace started SunTwisters about 3 years ago with nothing but a cheer mat and a goal.

A proud native Floridian, Coach Ashley has been passionate about cheerleading for over 30 years. Her cheer journey began with Lake Mary Allstars and continued at Winter Park High School, where she was a Varsity competition cheerleader all four years. After graduation, she returned to WPHS to coach for five years. She was a member of the UCA Staff for six years, where she taught camps and judged numerous UCA competitions across the country. Since the beginning, she has been an integral part of the SunTwisters Cheer program, helping build athletes’ skills, confidence, and love for the sport.

UV Head Coach
Coach Addy was born and raised in Winter Park, FL. She started competitive cheer at the age of 7 at Winter Park Stars, the allstar gym Coach Candace owned. She then went on to cheer competitively at Winter Park High School for 3 years and was a captain her Senior year. After she graduated high school, she attended the University of West Florida and cheered for another 3 years. This past May, she graduated UWF with a B.A in Communication Studies. She is also currently a UCA Staff instructor.

Golden Head Coach
Coach Jada was born and raised Miami, Florida where she grew up dancing from elementary school to middle school. She then attended Coral Gables High School, class of 2021, where she cheered for 3 years and was the Co-Captain her senior year. Jada went on to attend and cheer at Miami Dade College where she got her A.A in Early Education and coached at A1-Athletics. After a year, Jada moved to Orlando to start attending UCF and is pursuing her B.A in Secondary Education. She has had the opportunity to intern at Maitland Middle School and is currently doing so at Orlando Gifted Academy.
